・ Application for Certificate of Eligibility (for applicants coming from overseas) or Application for Change of Status of Residence (for applicants changing status within Japan)
・ Photograph (4 cm × 3 cm, taken within the last 3 months)

・ Employment contract and working conditions notification
・ Job description
・ Job offer letter / Notice of employment
・ Certificate of Registered Matters (Company Registry Certificate)
・ Copy of financial statements (to demonstrate the company’s financial condition)
・ Withholding tax summary report (Statutory Report Summary, for the previous year)
・ Tax payment certificate (Form No. 3: Certificate of no outstanding tax liabilities)
・ Tax payment certificate (Form No. 3-3: Certificate of no outstanding corporate tax and consumption tax)
・ Company brochure or a copy of the company website (to explain business activities)
・ Business plan (for Highly Skilled Professionals in the Business Management field)
Additional Documents Specific to the Highly Skilled Professional Visa
・ Points Calculation Form and supporting documents (to demonstrate that the applicant meets the required points for Highly Skilled Professional status)
・ List of research achievements (for applicants in the academic research field)
